Northern Baja California is now becoming one of the safest areas to travel when considering Covid-19. As of October 13, 2021 more than 99% of eligible southern San Diego County residents have been vaccinated with at least one dose. The Vaccination rates in Tijuana and Ensenada have similar rates! Vaccination of kids 5-16 should begin before Thanksgiving. In addition, mask warring in Baja is universal and most stores have disinfectant at the doors and require masks. As a result, the United State will remove the non-essential travel restriction at the border on November 1, 2021. Although this is good news on safety, the wait at the border will increase. Currently, about 170,000 people cross the San Isidro border crossing per day. This may increase to 250,000 per day after November 1st. At Coyote Cals we offer a FastPass that can allow you to avoid the TJ/San Diego border wait! Ask us at the office or click this link. (Fast Pass)
Returning to the US is not a problem for citizens and those who have green cards and valid visas.
